Hoot`s in McGehee

It feels like Texas, but it's all Arkansas. The BBQ is excellent, smoky, moist, and they trim the fat. Some of the best pulled pork I've ever had! Plus, Betty's cakes and banana pudding are phenomenal and made in house.

Food was fabulous.Service was very good .Prices were a little above average but it was worth every penny .

Pork sandwich is good and cheap. Sweet potato fries are some of the best I've ever had. There was a massive line in front of us, still got in and out in less than thirty minutes.

1st time stopping. Great food. If it was closer it would be a regular stop

This is by far the best tasting bbq I've ever eaten. We stop here everytime we're in this area. We always order extra so we have leftovers for later. Keep up the good work Hoots, I'll be back!!

My chicken loaded baked potato had the best smoked chicken. It was moist and tender with a great hickory flavor. The sauce is served on the side. The sweet tea was delightful!

We passed this place every year on a family trip and finally decided to stop in. Bbq was good and it was a good family atmosphere.

Fantastic smoked meats... The ribs & brisket are both top notch. The house sauces are tasty - but honestly, the meat is so good it doesn't need it!

Half rack of ribs, beans and coleslaw were very good.

It was so good! The dry rub ribs and chicken, the wait time was happy what we were told and the prices are decent!

The ribs were hot and fresh. All the food was amazing. First time there. Everyone was kind and friendly. Waitress was very helpful.

I’m glad I stop here for lunch instead of a processed chain. I had the pulled pork sandwich it was good. Place was clean. The staff was nice.

We came on a mission trip with over 50 people and they treated us so well.

Ordered the bbq plate with sliced brisket. It was so tender I was able to cut it with a plastic fork. Had a great bark on it too, very flavorful.

Really excellent place. Great environment and friendly service. From out of town, but If we were local we would be frequent diners.

Good BBQ. Excellent COVID-19 safety features. Although, I don't think indoor dining is a good idea at all. We ate outside under the carport.

The catfish was always as usual amazing...we did have to eat out on the patio...they don't actually open until 5...but it was nice. We met their mascot...the fur baby...shared our catfish with her. Loved it...

Was driving through the delta from MS to Western AR and was craving BBQ. So searched the internet and saw recommendations for Hoot's. Ordered carry-out and was impressed with the COVID measures that were in place. Restrooms were very clean and interior was very inviting for a longer stay with cold beverages. However, got our BBQ sandwiches and hit the road. I have eaten BBQ in many places across the US and would rate this sandwich in the very top tier. Sauces were good, including a mustard containing sauce that was unique and outstanding. Cole slaw was delicious....more tangy than mayo-heavy. Wish I had ordered more food, not because it was a small helping, but because I wanted leftovers. Definitely plan to make this stop as often as possible?

Wow - what a delicious BBQ restaurant!! My buddy took me here for lunch one day, and I was impressed with our visit here.1. The food tasted absolutely scrumptious. Truly, it was that good!2. The service was top-notch. The employees here truly care about the needs of their guests.3. The place in itself was nostalgic. I mean nothing like turning an old, gas station into a BBQ restaurant. Pretty cool, if you ask me.So yes, I will be returning back here again someday! Even though I live several hours away, I will return. Keep up the great work you all!

A must when traveling through. Every time we are there to hunt we have to stop in and get some quality BBQ. Hard to find decent sliced brisket in AR but they do it good. The mustard sauce is very good. Go for dinner and get the steaks as well. Very good 👍

Best Ribs and Great Service

Lots of dishes to choose from and all I've tried we're blue ribbon good. Great barbecue and burgers.

Overall "meh" experience.Went to window to order and was told wait staff is on for afternoons.... ok then.Self seated and stared at waiters for 20min until I flailed at one for a menu, and again to order. Guess all the waiters were tag teaming, but it I feel like that's how I got forgotten.Food came out pretty quick which surprised me.... but....Fries were crunchy in the not-good way, and "warm" at best... ate about 10 lolSteak was actually cooked rare like I ordered tho :) and was very good.Bbq beans were ok.... Had to flag down waiters for a to go box, and flagged another again to pay.Waiter said "just a sec" and proceeded to chat for 18 minutes with older ladies at another table.... luckily locked eyes with another waiter who rang me up.Guess good service is reserved for regulars or something....?

Yummy food! To die for cake! Good variety on the menu. Reasonable prices! Definitely a great place to eat some fabulous food!

Great BBQ place to stop for lunch. Took a wee bit longer than expected for food to come out but was worth the wait.

Great local place for BBQ, steaks, Tex-Mex and hamburgers. Fish or shrimp tacos are great too. You know it’s good when every pickup within 30 miles is in the parking lot! Friendly, fast, fair prices, and delicious! Highly recommended.
